The Color Sensational range
by Maybelline NY has a wide variety of lipsticks for just every woman in their three
distinct categories namely - Reds & Corals, Pinks & Mauves, and
Nudes & Browns. Their containers are tinted accordingly which I
really like.
The shade 255 My Mahogany comes in the Nudes & Browns category and is cased in a transparent brown & silver plastic container.
The lipstick looks like a light peachy brown shade; an almost peachy nude. This is the color
which would suit any skin tone. I know many people (and that includes
me!) who feel it is their MLBB shade. There is no shimmer in it. It gives a wet glossy sheen when swatched or applied. Perfect to pair with heavily kohled eyes. It is also a great everyday
color and can be worn for office-days and first dates for a casual
makeup look.
The pigmentation is great. There
actually isn't any need for multiple applications as one swipe delivers
the right amount of product.The feel is creamy and very moisturizing and applies smoothly with no tugging or reapplication. Lasting power is a straight 3 - 4 hours w/o eating or drinking. It also leaves behind a peachy tint to the lips after wearing off.

It smells of toffee and vanilla and coconut; so yummy! Pity it won't taste as great, LOL. This might be a bother for those who prefer fragrance-free products though. Worth the simple price tag!

Recommendation: All lipsticks in Color Sensational range are amazing, some are opaque and some with shimmer. Choose what you like! My Mahogany is a super buy for sure!
